Mengulik Kandidat Peraih 'Game of the Year' 2023

GEOFF Keighley bersama dengan The Game Awards telah memberikan kandidat yang akan memperebutkan gelar Game of the Year 2023. Nominasinya sangat sengit, mengingat banyak game hype yang diminati penggemarnya, termasuk Baldur's Gate 3, Marvel's Spider-Man 2, dan The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom.

Mengutip laman Siliconera, kandidat untuk nominasi Game of the Year versi The Game Awards 2023 terdiri dari enam game, yakni: Alan Wake 3, Baldur's Gate 3, Marvel's Spider-Man 2, Resident Evil 4 Remake, Super Mario Bros. Wonder, dan The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom.

Game lainnya pun mendapatkan slot untuk kandidat di berbagai kategori. Di antaranya Baldur's Gate 3 dan Alan Wake 2 yang mendapatkan delapan slot kandidat. Serta Baldur's Gate yang mendapatkan slot kandidat untuk Game Direction, Best Narrative, Best Score and Music, Best Community Support, Best RPG, Best Multiplayer, dan Best Performance untuk aktor Astarion, yakni Neil Newborn.

Alan Wake 2 di lain hal mendapatkan slot kandidat Game Direction, Best Narrative, Best Art Direction, Best Score and Music, Best Audio Design, Best Action Adventure, dan Best Performance untuk aktris Saga Anderson, yakni Melanie Liburd.

Marvel's Spider-Man 2 mendapatkan tujuh slot kandidat sebagai Game Direction, Best Narrative, Best Audio Design, Best Action Adventure, Innovation in Accessibility, dan Best Performance untuk aktor Peter Parker, yakni Yuri Lowenthal.

Nintendo pun mendapatkan perlakuan yang sama dengan The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom dan Super Mario Bros. The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom masuk ke nominasi Game Direction, Best Art Direction, dan Best Score and Music. Sementara untuk Super Mario Bros. Wonder mendapatkan nominasi Best Action Adventure, Best Game Direction, Best Art Direction, Best Family, hingga Best Multiplayer.

The Game Awards 2023 akan digelar secara online pada 7 Desember 2023. Tahun lalu, The Game Awards 2022 dimenangkan oleh Elden Ring dan God of War: Ragnarok sebagai Game of the Year. (dnz)
