MerahPutih.com - Band rock asal Amerika, From Ashes To New, resmi meluncurkan lagu sekaligus video musik untuk single terbarunya berjudul Villain. Lagu ini menjadi single ketiga yang diperkenalkan dari album terbaru mereka.
Sejak dirilis, Villain langsung menarik perhatian penggemar berkat karakter musiknya yang intens dan emosional, khas gaya From Ashes To New yang memadukan unsur rock modern dan nuansa gelap yang kuat.
Vokalis Matt Brandyberry menjelaskan bahwa lagu ini mengisahkan tentang ketertarikan kuat antara dua orang yang sebenarnya sadar bahwa mereka seharusnya berpisah. Namun alih-alih menjauh, keduanya justru memilih untuk terlibat lebih dalam.
Menurut Matt, Villain menggambarkan momen ketika hasrat mengalahkan pertimbangan logis. Lagu ini menangkap situasi saat kekacauan terasa menggoda, bahaya justru memberi rasa nyaman, dan batas antara kenikmatan dan kehancuran menjadi semakin kabur.
