MerahPutih.com - Polaris kembali dengan karya baru setelah tiga tahun tanpa merilis musik. Band asal Sydney tersebut menghadirkan single Without You pada 3 September 2026, sebuah lagu yang lahir dari duka atas meninggalnya gitaris sekaligus saudara mereka, Ryan Siew, pada 2023.
Without You menjadi cara Polaris menghadapi kehilangan yang begitu personal. Alih-alih menyembunyikan kesedihan, band tersebut justru menjadikannya sebagai pusat cerita dalam lagu.
Melalui karya ini, Polaris membicarakan kehilangan, keterkejutan, patah hati, hingga usaha memahami kehidupan setelah ditinggalkan seseorang yang begitu berarti.

Tuangkan Duka dalam Musik
Secara musikal, Without You mempertemukan sisi paling berat dan emosional dari Polaris.
Vokal yang penuh tekanan berpadu dengan riff gitar yang kasar dan dentuman drum yang menghantam. Di sisi lain, chorus melodis serta solo gitar yang menyayat memberikan ruang bagi emosi lagu untuk semakin terasa.
Lagu tersebut kemudian bergerak menuju bagian akhir dengan breakdown yang membawa Without You pada klimaks paling brutal.
Kontras antara karakter musik yang keras dan lirik yang rapuh membuat Without You terasa seperti luapan duka yang belum benar-benar selesai.

Without You menjadi gambaran tentang proses belajar hidup bersama kekosongan setelah kehilangan seseorang yang begitu berarti.
