Nominasi Golden Globe 2020 Diumumkan, 'Joker' Raih 4 Nominasi

NOMINASI untuk Golden Globe Awards ke-77 baru saja diumumkan di Hollywood, California, Senin (9/12). Penghargaan bergengsi itu diperuntukkan insan film, serial TV , aktor, dan aktris, serta sutradara terbaik selama 2019. Nominasi dan pemenang Golden Globes Awards dipilih dan ditentukan oleh anggota Hollywood Foreign Press Association (HFPA).

Tahun ini, film Joker yang banyak menuai kontroversi mendapat empat nominasi, termasuk untuk kategori bergengsi Best Motion Picture-Drama dan Best Performance by Actor in Drama. Penampilan Joaquin Phoenix sebagai Joker memang jelas mendapat sorotan. Jadi tidak mengherankan jika ia akan jadi salah satu nominasi yang dijagokan.

Film Korea Parasite bersaing di kategori Best Director, Best Screenplay, dan Best Motion Picture-Foreign Language. Film besutan sutradara Bong Joon-ho itu baru saja mendapat penghargaan film terbaik dari LA Film Critics Association. Bahkan Joon-ho juga ditahbiskan sebagai sutradara terbaik di ajang itu.

Satu hal yang menarik dari nominasi tahun ini terjadi di kategori Best Performance by an Actor in a Supporting Role in Any Motion Picture. Meskipun labelnya 'supporting role' alias peran pendukung, para nominasi di dalamnya tak main-main. Nama-nama aktor ternama bersaing di dalamnya, yakni Tom Hanks, Anthony Hopkins, Al Pacino, Joe Pesci, dan Brad Pitt. Sudah pasti itu akan jadi persaingan ketat dan bergengsi.
