MERAHPUTIH.COM - WEIRD Genius resmi menutup masa hiatus mereka dengan merilis single terbaru berjudul Escape. Dengan menggandeng penyanyi Emily Sie, karya ini menjadi penanda kembalinya trio produser dan DJ tersebut ke ranah musik sekaligus membuka babak baru dalam perjalanan mereka menuju album penuh yang ditargetkan hadir tahun ini.
Meski mengusung judul Escape, lagu ini justru tidak berbicara tentang upaya menghindari kenyataan. Sebaliknya, Escape mengangkat keberanian untuk berhadapan langsung dengan berbagai hal yang selama ini coba dihindari. Lagu tersebut menjadi pengingat bahwa proses pemulihan yang sesungguhnya dapat dimulai ketika seseorang berhenti melarikan diri dari ketakutan, masa lalu, maupun kebenaran yang sulit diterima.
